Hello and happy Sunday! I don't know about where you are, but the sun is out in my part of the world and it's going to be a beautiful day! :)

It's been a few weeks. Last weekend was a busy one for me, so I figured this week's newletter would just be jam-packed with some of my latest articles. So let's get to it!

Open Letters To

Recently, a new publication came to Medium called, Open Letters To, and it's one home to basically anything you want to get off your chest. The editors strive to keep 75% of the letters in the "humor" category, but welcome serious letters as well. Here are two open letters I published with them, both humorous rants:

World Traveler's Blog

Earlier this year I published a story about paddle boarding on the World Traveler's Blog. It did really well and actually won their "Best Story" contest a few weeks later. Because of the success I had publishing with this blog, I decided to make it home to another travel story of mine: A Day in the North End of Boston

Read it and let your mouth water; mine sure did while I was writing it!

Personal

You may remember earlier in February I shared a story about a failure I was dealing with at work, and how it had me questioning my career path. I'm happy to say I made it through those doubts I was having and am stronger for it.

I wrote a sequel to the first story, Making Fears & Failures My Bitch, which I think many of us can relate to. We all experience failure in all aspects of life and learning how to deal with it and the emotions it brings along can be difficult, but is super critical to our personal and professional growth.

Cybersecurity

And, last but not least, I have some OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) articles to share with you. In the last newsletter, I gave you a preview of The OWASP Collection I was planning and I've published the first two since then!

These two articles cover the top two most common and serious vulnerabilities that exist in web applications. These are ones that lead to malware, user compromise, and sensitive/confidential data exposure. Even if you don't work in the tech industry, I urge you to read these articles to educate yourself and learn more about how the websites we use every day can be hacked, and how you can be affected.

Stories that Resonated with Me Last Week

Thanks for joining me on this lovely Sunday! Here's to a great week.

Happy Weekend! What a whirlwind of a week it's been. To start, I got my second dose of the COVID vaccine on Tuesday. I did my best to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate but it still took me out for a day or two. I felt really run down, had chills for a short period of time, and some mild body aches. However, I woke up on Thursday feeling back to my normal self! Speaking of Thursday, I received AWESOME news while I was mid-workout on my lunch break. In between round two of my three-round circuit, I...

Hi friends! It's been a minute...sorry for the newsletter hiatus. Life got really busy, but I'm back now and with lots of news to share! First off, let me start by welcoming my new subscribers. Thanks so much for subscribing and I hope to provide consistent content going forward as I have clearly failed you over the last six weeks! With that, I have lots to share this week so apologies in advance for the lengthy email but I'll make this as short and sweet as possible. As a first order of...

Happy Spring! Yesterday was officially the first day of spring. Oh, happy day. I spent the morning dusting off my patio furniture and swapping out my winter wreath for my spring one. It's currently sunny and 65 degrees, and I'm writing this from my deck. Pretty damn good Sunday afternoon if you ask me. Anyway, some good stuff happened last week! If you're a Dark Roast reader, you may know about my Red Team series of articles called Dark Side. Well this week I kicked off Light Roast, a Blue...
